Churchill's Funeral

One of i'm indoor's finest moments was being part of the team pulling the gun carriage for Sir Winston's funeral (he was third row, second in, from the right). It seems that they trained for weeks before the poor chap died. Tony brought dvd's showing the whole of the funeral, which is something I've never watched, so we had a really cheery evening viewing it.

It was impressive and I doubt that another state funeral could surpass it.

We have now moved on to 'The World at War'. I reckon I'm in for a gruelling couple of weeks!!
